  • Namaste

    Today we're learning about the word namaste. It's a Sanskrit word that means bowing to you or I bow to you. A lot of people interpret this as the divinity in me recognizes the divinity in you.

  • Guru

    Today we're learning about the word guru. When we dissect it, gu means darkness and ru means light. So what a guru does is take us from darkness and ignorance to light and wisdom by teaching and sharing knowledge.

  • Aum

    Today, we’re learning about the word aum. Aum is considered to be the most sacred mantra and it reminds us of the wholeness each of us holds, and the oneness that unites us all.

  • Sanskrit

    Today, we’re learning about sanskrit. Some of the words we commonly say during yoga or meditation are of Sanskrit origin, like namaste, mantra, guru, and aum. It is one of the oldest languages in the world.
