Today, we're doing a body scan meditation, which is when we start at the tops of our heads, go all the way down to our toes, and focus on each body part along the way. This is a powerful exercise because it gets us out of our wandering minds and into the present moment as we focus on each body part.
Today, we're doing a meditation on simply taking some really big, deep breaths. The benefit of this practice is that it allows really great oxygen into your body and brain, which helps reduce stress and get you into a calm head space.
Our meditation for today is all about observing our thoughts. Some people think that when thoughts come in during meditation, they must be doing something wrong, but that couldn’t be less true. It’s your mind’s job to think thoughts! The key is to allow them to come in and to learn to let them go.
